The characters that are comprised of warriors, monsters, and heroes are played by either the human or computer players. The adventures are turn-based strategy genre projects that include in one part real-time battles in between different armies. Total War: Warhammer I and II were released in 20 by Sega and Creative Assembly. Warhammer is a fantasy-set war title (not based on any books) which has seen a number of versions of the concept released over the decades. They previously developed, designed, produced, and published the tabletop war series Warhammer: Age of Sigmar, Warhammer 40k, and Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle release. This British company makes miniature war game concepts. The universe creator is Games Workshop Group PLC of Great Britain. This release combined a strategy-based series of play with the factions of Games Workshops series of fantasy titles. These releases go back for three decades. Overall this is a solid game, but like games like Castlevania: Lords of Shadow it just lacks the magic touch.Warhammer is a fantasy universe in which a range of computer titles have been set in part or in whole. It is very good, but it was a bit repetitive and with 16 chapters often taking around an hour each it is a big game. The gameplay for me wasn't as fun as Bulletstorm, Crysis 2 or The Darkness.

The voice acting is of Hollywood standard, which also comes as no surprise given the cast involved. A lot of time, money and research has been spent in bringing the atmosphere of the game alive. It is arguably one of the best looking games on the system along with the two Crysis games. Space Marine looks absolutely incredible, which is unsurprising given it is a late XBOX 360 title. A long time ago I had also played Space Hulk (1993) which felt more like the board game and while it is a very good game it was in places dull to play. Previously I had played Fire Warrior on the PS2, which is also an FPS game, but it looked a little bit flat.

This is the fully realised version of how I imagined the Warhammer 40K universe to look.
